Hi everyone, I’m Duc Hau. This is my story about Jobs
I myself spent 13 years in my life finding a job I really enjoy. I don’t know how much time you’ve spent looking for a job. But this may end after this consultation.
Why don’t you spend 30-1 hour to read out what you want to do ?. To stop this loss of direction and waste of time.
In 2013, I was still a freshman in social work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. That day was the strangest and most memorable day of my student life.
That day was a class on Vietnamese cultural foundations. Somehow I sat with you with a friend named Thinh, who is a political scientist. And my class’s English teacher called it the damn subject. After talking for a long time, he said he was bored with the major, bored of this class. I guess he went back to his hometown to grow mushrooms after this period Or go to another major. I also don’t have any advice. Actually, I can’t remember what I said at that time.
After a while, then I have a wish that I will work as a career consultant in the future. So that the students will no longer feel bored with their majors or jobs after graduation.
Just a moment after thinking I feel bored again, so I open my old blackberry 8800 phone to read the news on Vnexpress. In the forum, readers write. There is a very good sharing of a guy working in the hotel industry. He said it took me 13 years to find the right job I love. At that time he was over 30 years old.
I finished reading and recalculating my path to find a career took 7-8 years. But now I have found my favorite subject is social work. So it won’t take 13 years for me to find a job I love.
But, No one knows where the word is. At first, I set out many great goals. What is becoming an employee of an NGO dedicated to developing poor communities? With the criteria of being good at foreign languages (English),
having the ability and understanding of the community. Which is to become an employee or to start a social enterprise. Which is to become mental health,
researcher from the perspective of the industry that I am studying, etc….
But then everything shattered. My excitement subsided over time. Goals are no longer important to me. It coincided with the time when courses on personal development,
business, and enrichment were flourishing in Vietnam. So I kept going to learn about them. So I dreamed of becoming a speaker again. Until 2018. It ended.
Then I imitated the success of people doing different jobs.
Sometimes they go to sell air conditioner products, chocolate, and real estate. When we sell design services, copywriting.
But there was no job I could do for several months. I also don’t want to do specialized work anymore. Though my goal of helping people is still there. But I do not have the ability and the right attitude for the job anymore.
In 2018, I took a painful lesson for myself.
. From the age of 15, I started looking for my dream job, until the age of 28 I did not find it. So it’s still 13 years like the guy from the story I read above in 2013
That is, I am only fully motivated and followed after reading the articles in the media. Of the economic reporter sitting in the room. Or cover up in winter to translate articles online. Then add their ideas to the article. But many times that article is also a PR article for the courses of these successful people.
I imitated without understanding who I am. What are the strengths and weaknesses? Do you really enjoy doing that job or
take a salary of thousands of dollars that strongly declare participation.
So I missed the best years of my youth chasing after outside dreams.
Understand this. Since the beginning of that year, I have been learning about myself. How to find a job through subjects such as:
MBTI test, astrology, oriental horoscope, hand fortune-telling, and finally stop at arithmetic.
